the what

Awana is an internationally known children's ministry program that we use at Emmanuel to share God's love with children in our community and help them grow up to know, love, and serve the Lord Jesus Christ.  Led by great Christian adults from Emmanuel and other Marion churches, each night kids are encouraged in their faith through games, BIble lessons, and Scripture memory.

Awana meets on Wednesday nights during the school year from 6:30-8:00pm, and is for children preschool through 5th grade.

• Cubbies - 3-4 years old
• Sparks - K-2nd grade
• Truth & Training (T&T) - 3rd-5th grade

the why

Jesus said to them, "Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.  Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it."  And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.  (Mark 10.14-16)
